Security Profession Event 19 March: Exciting opportunity so book early

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Hot security topics

My first blog of the New Year and January nearly over already!

I want to let you know about an exciting event taking place in London on the 19 March and give you the opportunity to get an early placeholder in your diaries.

The event is to launch the Security Profession in Government which I head up. It's aimed at those already in the community and those interested in becoming part of this Profession. Olly Robbins, Government SIRO has been confirmed as the guest speaker.

The event is open to all grades and level of experience, so it would be great to see you there. It’s set to provide an insight into the different areas of security and how they are related, the current threat picture, where the Profession is heading and plans to develop the Profession going forward. We have a really interesting agenda planned with an opportunity to network and see some demonstrations from CPNI and GCHQ. There will also be a Q&A session which promises to be quite lively.

The event will run from 9.30 to 16.00. Invites are being sent out via each Government Department, so please look out and register your interest early. Spaces will be limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

I would have loved to attend this, but despite keeping a look out, I was never able to find any further information.
Not sure where the departmental invites went, but they didn't appear to make it to "all grades and level of experience".
Will there be any other events for members of the profession?
